How to Make Sure Your Own Visits to Your Website Aren't Being Tracked

Last Updated: Jan 17, 2014 03:01PM EST
Since you probably visit your site frequently, we created a way for you to make sure your own visits don't skew the data you see in Spring Metrics. That will leave you free to visit your site to your heart's content - and not worry about those visits affecting your total numbers.

To prevent your own visits to your site from being tracked, click on the Settings link at the top of the application and then click on Site Settings:

In the Untracked IP Addresses box, click Detect My IP Address and then click Add.

This will prevent the IP address of the location you are at from being tracked. If there is another IP address that you would like to have remain untracked, you can manually enter it and then click Add. Adding your own IP address will also block any test conversions or purchases you make from showing up in Spring Metrics. It will also block your Smart Offers from appearing on your site while you're at that IP address.

If you would like an entire range of IP addresses to be blocked, contact the support team and we'll block the range for you.
